A year ago today, actually as I type this post, I was in labor with Logan. Technically I had been in labor for quite some time, inactive labor, but this was the night. I began having contractions, again, and after being checked, it was decided that I needed to move down to labor and delivery because with a bulging bag of waters; delivery was looking like it would be soon. I dreaded going to labor and delivery, the beds were uncomfortable, and I was usually just sent down there for a false alarm, then sent back to my usual room. Not this time. The midwife came to check me, I was 6cm dilated, contracting consistently (although I never felt them), and she said she could break my water to speed the process. We agreed and assumed Logan would be here quickly after breaking the water. Wrong. Six hours of hard, natural labor (I felt the contractions then, trust me!), we welcomed a beautiful baby girl.
