wordless Friday?

Too bad it's not Wednesday, because I would have Wordless Wednesday post! O well, I can have a wordless Friday, right? She's just too beautiful for words, the pictures do the talking :-) These are some from this same day - still more to come! She is sitting on her Pop's tractor, her great-grandfather, he would so love that!

Have a great weekend!

Catch Up & More Easter Pics

Things are busy at our house. Just FYI, tearing up old hardwood floors and putting down new, while having a one year old that wants to be on the floor constantly....is not that much fun. We are taking out our old floor, and we will have new put down on Wednesday. Logan plays downstairs most of the time, so living upstairs...she knows something is different! Hopefully by Thursday it will all be done.

Logan is doing fantastic. Her eating has improved greatly and I can really tell she is gaining weight. Her weight seems like it has constantly been an issue, but I am beginning to feel like we are getting over that hump. O, I think I left out a minor detail....Logan is crawling!!!!!! Yes, actually crawling...on all fours...not scooting...not army crawling...but using both legs appropriately and keeping her belly up and crawling! I will get a picture up soon. It is too cute. She is not very fast, but I know she will be. If she wants to get somewhere fast; she still scoots, but she crawls short distances. This is such a huge milestone for her, really huge. We are so proud of her. I don't care that most kids are walking by 12 months; mine is crawling, and we couldn't be happier!

Here are a few pictures from Easter....

My favorite :-)

I couldn't help but give these photos a vintage feel - it was appropriate for her dress and the setting. These were taken at her great-grandparents barn. It is beautiful. Logan was sitting on an old church pew. I love it.

Her dress was actually more pink than pictured above
It was beautiful, and so was she :-)

Just a Wednesday -

We had a quiet family day today. Cody was home. Logan always likes it when her Daddy is home, double the attention! After she napped this morning, we went to Wal-Mart (I really do love Target, but Wal-Mart's groceries are a ton cheaper...) and loaded up on stuff. After we shopped, we met Nanny (Logan's great-grandmother) to eat for lunch. Logan was exhausted when we got home and took a good afternoon nap. While she napped, we cleaned!!! It was nice to get everything back together. That period of sickness seemed to throw everything off, our house was a disaster! Not anymore - we are squeaky clean - ahh, much better! Tonight, we made dinner for my parents and Nanny. We had trash bag tacos - so much fun! We first had them at a friend's house, and enjoyed it so much we decided it would be fun to do them tonight. I should have taken pictures, sorry.

Hope everyone had a good day :-)

Pop

Pop is Logan's great-grandfather. She is a lucky little girl. She has 4 living great-grandparents, all on Cody's side. I say she is lucky, because I never got the opportunity to meet my great-grandparents; they were deceased before I was born. Grandparents are a treasure, especially great-grandparents.
Pop and Logan soon after she came home

Pop has always been good with her, when she came home from the hospital; we took Logan out to visit. It is interesting to see how his mind works, he may not have known her by name, but he sure knew how to hold her and how to protect her. He was no different today.
She fit perfectly into his hands

Today we went to visit Pop. Due to Alzheimer's Disease, he is now in a nursing home. It is a horrible disease. His beautiful blue eyes seemed to light up when we came his way - he really has the most beautiful, crystal blue eyes, so did my Poppop. He looked right at Logan, "Hey Buddy!" Whether he recognized her as Cody's daughter, his great-granddaughter, or simply a little baby, he was delighted, and so was she. They were two peas in a pod for quite some time. They checked each other out, and then he gave her kisses. It was precious. Pictures and memories are priceless.

Pop kissing Logan and making "clucking" noises to her - she loved it!

Treasure your family, especially your grandparents. Listen to their stories, one day you will appreciate it. My grandmother used to “spin her yarn,” I used to think “This story is never going to end.” Now, I wish I could still hear her spin her yarn. Listen to their advice, they are probably right. Take all the hugs and kisses they want to give, enjoy them.

A fun day

After Logan screamed her head off this morning, took an excellent morning nap (I think she is teething), we got dressed and went to visit Mamaw (Logan's great-grandmother) to celebrate her birthday. They were so excited to see Logan and visit with her.

If one was looking at the camera, the other wasn't! Maybe it was because Papaw was taking pictures with his camera on the other side of me!
Logan really showed off for them. She scooted all around, played peek-a-boo, went through her list of sounds (ba, da, ma, and her favorite, pa) and gave wonderful sloppery kisses! She is such a ham. Happy Birthday Mamaw!

In other news, Logan has been pulling up on things like crazy! I have to watch her because I am afraid she will slip and fall. She is mostly pulling up to her knees, but she thinks she can crawl over anything, so she makes an attempt - fearless!

She is getting so big and strong! I also wanted to share about a type of therapy Logan is receiving. The tape on her back is called Kinesio Tape. Her therapist is trying it to see if it will help Logan relax her shoulder muscles. She tends to be tense. She doesn't even know the tape is there! Read more about Kinesio Tape Last weeks is starting to peel, so she will get new Thursday. We are looking forward to seeing what Logan has in store for us in the next couple of weeks, she is really moving about and starting to be a wiggle worm.
